About the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

If you’re ready to take the next step in your early childhood education and care career, the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113) is the qualification of choice for educators who wish to mentor staff, guide curriculum and  understand compliance.

This course is aimed at educators who are currently engaged in work with children (either paid or unpaid) and who have completed the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113).

About The Centre of Professional Learning and Education

Communities@Work’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO), The Centre of Professional Learning and Education (CPLE) specialises in early childhood education and care. Our quality, evidence-based approach provides a range of teaching and learning strategies, including: face to face workshops, workshop tasks, projects, and practical, hands-on experience in the work environment. We support all learners and ensure our training and assessment services provide you with a quality learning experience.

What We Will Cover

Our information session will provide an overview of the course, requirements, fees and enrolment. Fee information will cover potential Government funding available, including information regarding ACT Skilled Capital Funding*.

Sessions will be facilitated by our RTO Manager, who will answer answer any questions you may have.

The information session will be followed a Literacy and Numeracy assessment, which will take 2 hours to complete.

*Skilled Capital is an ACT Government training initiative, funded by the ACT and Australian Governments.

Please bring the following documents with you to the information session:

  • Photo ID,
  • Proof of age,
  • Proof of ACT Address or workplace,
  • Proof of residency/citizenship (green Medicare card, Australian passport OR visa that proves eligibility),
  • USI number (if you do not have this, please go to https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-usi to create one)
  • Certified transcripts and certificates of previous study done in the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
