This session is suitable for educators working in Early Childhood, Family Day Care and Out of School Hours Care. It will provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required to initially identify​ and support the child, ethically handle the situation and how to engage with the appropriate authorities to complete reporting.

This session will cover:

  • identifying children and young people at risk
  • indicators of possible harm and neglect
  • mandatory reporting
  • current legislation
  • ethical considerations
