What
Fun4Youth is a social and recreational program for young people aged 12 to 21 years with a disability.
To be eligible to access the Fun4Youth program, young people must be:
- Aged between 12 and 21 years
- Attending school, and,
- Living in Southern Canberra
If you are interested in applying for the Program, please complete and return an Expression of Interest form. The Fun4Youth Coordinator will then contact you to discuss your eligibility and arrange for you to visit the Program.
How
Qualified/experienced youth workers are dedicated to providing a safe and relaxed atmosphere for all young people and empowering them to work towards individual goals. Fun4Youth staff ensures that young people’s needs and interests are met through a variety of inclusive social, educational and recreational experiences.
Activities
Fun4Youth provides the opportunity for young people to develop and enhance their social skills and build peer networks. They gain these valuable skills by engaging in a wide range of recreational activities in an inclusive, social context.
All activities operate at the Tuggeranong Youth Centre or within the wider Canberra community and are age and culturally appropriate.
Some examples of activities include:
• Gym Sessions
• African Drumming and music programs
• General sports
• Cooking
• Shopping
• Community Mural Art Projects
• General life skills
• Social skills
• Excursions
After School Program
The After School program runs Monday to Friday from 3.00 pm until 6.00 pm during school terms (closed on public holidays). The cost is $18.00 per afternoon which includes all meals and activities.

School Holiday Program
The School Holiday program runs Monday to Friday from 9.00 am until 5.30 pm during school holidays (closed on public holidays). The cost for the school holiday program is $40 per day and includes all meals and activities.
Participants may be eligible for a rebate.

Where
Fun4Youth is based at the Tuggeranong Youth Centre, with access to this program being determined on an individual basis.
